Experience Change with Larry Shaw Ph.D
"When facing adversity, we may think we’ve reached our limit, but actually the more trying the circumstances, the closer we are to making a breakthrough. The darker the night, the nearer the dawn."
Therapy Process
I believe that therapy should be a collaborative, interactive process where the therapist and the
patient work together not only to unearth the cause of the suffering and repetitive patterns, but
to identify the unique strengths, resources and innate wisdom that each patient possesses to
transform and grow. This comprehensive therapy process enables each patient to utilize specific daily tools to beg the journey to health and healing.
Psychological Services
Somatic Therapy
EMDR
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing is a form of psychotherapy in which the person being treated is asked to recall distressing images; the therapist then directs the patient in one type of bilateral stimulation, such as side-to-side eye rapid movement or tapping.
Alternative therapy aimed at treating trauma and stressor related disorders like PTSD. The primary goal of SE is to modify the trauma-related stress response. To achieve this, its major interventional strategy builds on sensory processing.
Individual, Couples, Relationship Counseling
I guide my patients every step of the way and implement various methods of communication to help them develop new attitudes towards all of life’s most complex matters.
